Beat the financial odds with new events

Strategies for saving money through effective corporate and personal tax planning will be available to businesses at a programme of new seminars created and hosted by Nottingham-based independent insurance and financial adviser, The Wilson Organisation.

The four sessions in the ‘Beating the Odds' series will tackle the issues around tax planning for businesses and business owners, with useful sound bites on how to avoid paying too much tax, how to beat the pension plan deadline and how to maximise the value of the corporate and personal pound.

The series launches with a session entitled ‘Beating the corporate taxman', on 5th November, with a look at tax as a variable cost to businesses, as Wilsons' Annabel Prow, CEO of The Wilson Organisation, explains:

"Money saving strategies should always be at the top of any business's agenda, but are particularly important in the current economic climate. With revenue proving elusive for many businesses, coupled with high fixed costs, it can be difficult to see where money saving opportunities lie, and these are exactly the issues we will examine at the event.

"A senior tax specialist will focus on tax mitigation strategies and offer bite size tips on how to retain control of finances and reduce tax liability through simple corporate tax planning methods. The seminar will also provide advice on the roles and responsibilities of directors to ensure an appreciation and understanding of corporate governance obligations."

The series continues on the 26th November, with a session on ‘Beating the pensions deadline', which will take a close look at the imminent changes to pensions and tax legislation and offer innovative ideas on maximising tax positions whilst creating financial independence through pension planning.

The seminar programme continues with a session ‘Beating the risk - gaining the reward' in January 2010, and concludes in February with a session tackling ‘Beating the personal taxman', in time for the tax year end.
