Nick Parsons to speak at Property Forum

The Head of Markets Strategy at National Australia Bank (nabCapital) in London, Nick Parsons, is guest speaker at this year’s East Midlands Property & Construction Forum on the 21st October.

A member of Sky TV's money panel and regular contributor to CNBC, BBC and Bloomberg News, Nick returns as the Forum's guest speaker for the second consecutive year.

The Forum, now in its tenth year, is organised and hosted by insurance and financial advisers The Wilson Organisation, PKF Accountants & business advisers, and solicitors Freeth Cartwright LLP, and will take place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel.

Charlotte Prow, Joint Managing Director of Wilsons comments: "The property and construction sector has been hit hard by the recession. For everyone involved, from property developers and architects, to banks and advisers, this is a timely opportunity to hear from one of the country's leading commentators with more than 25 years experience in FX and global money markets.

"Nick's presentation at last year's Forum was extremely well received, and we're delighted to welcome him back. This year, Nick will provide a clear and detailed analysis of the current state of the property and financial markets, and his realistic projections for the coming twelve months for the sector.

"We are fortunate also to have Tim Richmond, non-executive chairman at Clegg Group Limited, as guest chairperson of the Forum once again."

Chris Holwell, a Partner at Freeth Cartwright, adds: "The Property and Construction Forum last year gave a pretty accurate forecast in most sectors, even if the forecast was not one we wanted to hear.  I'm expecting this year's to be similarly accurate and that Nick will give us good guidance on when and where useful recovery will be starting first.  We're hoping that good forecasts will enable the industry in this region to maximise its share of the opportunities which everyone will be fighting for as recovery begins."

Fraser Goodall, Partner at PKF, says: "PKF is proud to be associated with the Property & Construction Forum, which is now firmly established as a must-attend event amongst the local property community. I look forward to Nick providing us not only with his thoughts on the sector, but also the prospects for the wider economy."

The Property & Construction Forum is free to attend and runs from 12.30pm to 2.15pm on Wednesday 21st October 2009 at The Nottingham Belfry Hotel. To reserve a place, visit: www.wilorg.com/events or contact Jo Slater at PKF, Tel: 0115 962 9269, email: jo.slater@uk.pkf.com.
